Dark Knight RIses Statues: Bane, Batman, Catwoman - ToyNews
Ugh.. I don’t like how Bane and Catwoman look. Take them out of their Batman element, and you wouldn’t know who they are supposed to be. I was wishing they’d be more like their comic counterparts.
*nerd rage*

So… there is someone on FB that has a tiny chihuahua that has suffered a stroke, and I might take him.
While looking up how to care for a dog that has suffered a stroke, I also discovered that there may have been a chance that Thunder may have recovered from the vestibular disease that plagued him.
However, it was most likely a small chance. Just kinda made me sad.
If this dog will get along with Maggie, then I am going to seriously think about adopting this little guy.
What are the details of caring for a dog after a stroke? Let me know if Maggie doesn’t like him.
If this probably didn’t cost a lot of money this would be a necessity in my future apartment.
WAAAAAAAANNNNT
This looks amazing
Moe Adams. Last known address is 3026 23rd St Fl. 3, Astoria, NY 11102. Last known phone number is 347-776-1921. Last known email address is moe@tabetainyc.com. Made off with at least $1800 in rent, plus whatever deposits he had. He owes me $700 for my deposit. It’s an understatement to say that I need that money. Because of him, four of his roommates were evicted today (I was one of them, but I was already moving, so wasn’t really “evicted.”) and we all lost any deposits we had. If anyone can find him or has any information about his whereabouts, please email me at liz@lizbaillie.com. I know a few people who would like to have a word with him. Please reblog.
Have you seen this douche? Liz Baillie is an awesome lady and doesn’t deserve that kinda fuckery.
This Is All Kinds Of Wrong of the Day: A Texas-based “pro-family” group is calling for a boycott of Girl Scout cookies [pdf] in response to the organization’s decision to allow a Colorado boy who identifies as a girl to join a local troop.
In a video uploaded to YouTube last week, Honest Girl Scouts member Taylor, a 14-year-old Girl Scout from Ventura County, California, reads a statement excoriating GSUSA for “not being honest with us girls, its troops, its leaders, its parents or the American public.”
“Girl Scouts describes itself as an all-girl experience,” Taylor continues. “With that label, families trust that the girls will be in an environment that is not only nurturing and sensitive to girls’ needs, but also safe for girls.”
This isn’t the first backlash GSUSA has seen from its decision in Colorado: Three troops in Louisiana disbanded in December, citing the inclusion of trans girls as the reason.
A boycott of Girl Scout cookies would undoubtedly harm the august organization, as it receives a generous amount of its funding from their sale.
Reached for comment, Girl Scouts spokeswoman Michelle Tompkins told the Washington Post that GSUSA “prided itself on being an inclusive organization serving girls from all walks of life,” and will continue to review “cases involving transgender children on a case by case basis with a focus on ensuring the welfare and best interests of the child in question and the other girls in the troop as our highest priority.”

I will make sure to buy MORE cookies this year. I’m proud of the Girlscouts for their decision.
2012
So, I keep having this urge to write down how I feel about 2011 and what my plans are for the future, yet not wanting a billion people to know what I’m thinking. It’s a bit contradicting. Then I realize, I just don’t want to announce these things on Facebook anymore. I’m getting over the social network. Not completely, because I’m still a cyber-stalker and like to know whats going on in my peer’s lives. Especially the people I don’t talk to on a regular basis that I actually care about.
2011
This last year was a pretty good year. I moved into an apartment with my partner in crime. We’ve been doing really well, and have passed the 1.5 year mark. I’ve gained some respect at work for my work ethic. Haven’t made it to promotion yet, but my managers are aware. I’ve become friends with a really great girl from work. I started volunteering at one of our local SPCA’s, and have come to the realization that I’d eventually like to work extensively with a rescue group of some sort. Treatment of animals is the only thing that I get passionate about, so I want to try to make a difference. I’ve started a small following with my crafts, and have sold more items in the last 2 months than I have my entire time on Etsy.
2012
The next 12 months hold lots of changes. We’re planning a trip to Emerald City Comicon the last weekend of March, and will also be apartment hunting while we’re up there. If all goes well, we’ll be moving in June/July. I can keep an eye on positions available for transfer, and keep volunteering so I can apply for paid positions. I’ll be using a chunk of my tax refund money to pay for the trip, and will hopefully be able to stay with family instead of having to stay at a hotel.
I’ll be 25 in 3 short weeks. I’m at a place in life where I don’t feel 25. Not in an “omg I’m getting old” sort of way, but more like.. “I sit around reading comics, playing games, crafting, and playing with kitties.. how I can be 25?” kind of way. When did that happen? We decided that if the world doesn’t end in December of this year, we’ll get hitched in Vegas around my 26th bday.
I’m pretty excited for this year.
Sometimes I feel like I’m asking too much from society when expecting common courtesy. Please be aware of your actions and how they might affect the people around you.
